Multifamily Development & Accredited Investor Insights

  • 7801 East Bush Lake Road Minneapolis, MN, 55439 United States (map)

We’re kicking off our first investor meetup of the year with a conversation that’s a step beyond the usual topics.
This one is geared toward investors who already have some experience and are starting to think about scaling—whether that’s larger multifamily, development, or getting involved in deals as an accredited investor.
I’m bringing in Yuri Souder as our guest speaker.
Yuri has purchased over 700 single-family homes and is now leading a 650-unit multifamily development. He’s someone who has actually made the transition from smaller residential deals into much larger projects, and he understands both sides of that shift.
He’ll walk through how he used to source deals in the foreclosure space, and how that foundation led into where he is now—working with debt, equity, and structuring larger developments.
We’ll also spend time breaking down:

  • How capital stacks are structured in real deals

  • What waterfalls actually mean and how cash flow is distributed

  • The difference between GP and LP positions

  • What accredited investors should be paying attention to

  • How to evaluate opportunities at a higher level

This isn’t meant to be a beginner-focused session. If you’re newer, you’ll still get value, but the conversation is going to be centered around growth, scaling, and understanding how these bigger deals actually work.
We’re keeping the group smaller for this one so there’s time for real discussion and questions.
If you’ve been thinking about getting into multifamily or want a better understanding of how these deals are structured behind the scenes, it’ll be worth your time.
Spots are limited, so make sure you reserve one ahead of time.
